Client was charged with murder in circumstances where the deceased died from a stab wound to the abdomen. Aside from the deceased, only two other people were present, including the client. Mr. Kontou successfully argued through a detailed analysis of expert evidence from the forensic pathologist and the blood splatter specialist, that the third person at the scene could have committed the crime. The trial Judge found Mr. Kontou’s client NOT GUILTY on the grounds that there was reasonable doubt as to whether the client actually inflicted the fatal stab wound.
